The City of Meridian received plans for a new hotel at Eagle View Landing.
A Hyatt Place hotel is planned for 1077 Silverstone. The application letter said it would be five stories with 120 rooms, a hot tub, pool, a restaurant, and a guest bar. There would also be a porte-cochere to mark the entry and give guests a covered area to load and unload their belongings.
“The hotel bar and restaurant will have a direct relation to the pedestrian walkway to the south of our building that runs east and west through most of the Eagle View Landing site,” the application letter said. “This pedestrian path will connect office, retail, and hotel buildings across the site.”
According to the hotel’s website Hyatt Place hotels usually offer free breakfast for World of Hyatt members, event space, and a workout facility.
Parking would be on the west side of the building and there would be an additional 11 on-street parking spots.
The application letter said the design of the exterior would be similar to other Hyatt Place hotels.
“This includes brick, metal panels, metal trim, multiple colors of stucco, glazing, and cementitious panels,” the application letter said. “The building volume includes a fenced pool area, the porte cochere, stepping of the facade, and other architectural accents that help relate the mass of the building to the human scale. The first level is primarily brick and glazing. The upper levels will have material changes, a stepped facade, and varying parapets that all help bring down the mass of the building.”
BoiseDev previously told you about Eagle View Landing a 52-acre Ball Ventures Ahlquist development. The Hyatt would join Idaho Central Credit Union and the soon-to-be Top Golf.
The applicant will go in front of the Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission for a public hearing.
