Reel Northgate theater sets reopening date

In August, we told you about a sale listing for the Northgate Reel theater in Boise. The theater location along State St. closed last fall as COVID-19 rates spiked in the area, and commercial real estate brokers listed the property for sale.

Now, the theater is set to reopen. The six-screen theater is slated to welcome back moviegoers on November 26th, according to the chain’s website. They are currently working to hire employees.

The theater location remains listed for sublease or sale on Crexi.

Other Reel-owned locations have reopened, including the location on Overland Rd. and in Nampa, as well as Luxe Reel-branded locations.

The Reel started life as a Cineplex Odeon before transitioning to Reel decades ago. It primarily shows second-run films
