Big national developer plans first Idaho industrial project


One of the nation’s largest commercial real estate developers is planning a large industrial project in Nampa.

Trammell Crow Company just finalized a deal to develop Kings Road Commerce Center, which features over 362,000 square feet of manufacturing and logistics space. The 25-acre site will include three buildings that can accommodate up to four tenants in each. Additionally, there will be parking for 35 trailers and 557 cars on site.

“The population and employment growth in Greater Boise in recent years has been nationally recognized and it’s caught our attention at Trammell Crow Company as well. The City of Nampa has been a great partner thus far and we look forward to delivering this project next year,” said Jim Mahoney of Trammell Crow Company.

Kings Road Commerce Center will be located at 2800 E. Comstock Ave. in Nampa, just south of I-84 along North Kings Rd. Construction is expected to start in early 2022 and will be completed within 12 months.

“The Boise industrial market, specifically, is supply constrained, which has led to unusually low vacancy rates,” said Jake Miller with CBRE Group, which will provide project marketing services. “As a result, new employers with attractive job opportunities are impeded in opening in the market. Kings Road Commerce Center is designed and located to address this imbalance.”

Trammell Crow started in 1948, and was for a time the nation’s largest landlord. It is now a unit of CBRE. CBRE opened an office in Boise last year.
