You Asked: Where did Victory Greens nursery go & what’s going up in its place?

Several months ago, landscaping supply store Victory Greens announced it would move from its Victory Rd. location to a new Meridian spot.

The new store will open at the southwest corner of Amity and Meridian Rd. this spring, according to a post on Victory Greens’ Facebook page. A small Victory Green sign and some nursery materials are already on the site on the SW corner of the intersection.

But what will pop up in its place on Victory Rd.?

Victory Commons

Ball Ventures Ahlquist is planning to develop a 17-acre mixed-use project off of S Meridian Rd. and Victory Rd. called Victory Commons. The development would have office space, flex office space, industrial, and retail. The project site is close to several, large residential neighborhoods with quick access to the interstate.

The site wraps around a current Legacy Feed and Fuel convenience store and gas station.

Victory Commons will be developed in phases, with a Satlzer Medical clinic already open on the site, and several additional commercial buildings under construction. Some Victory Greens materials, including planted trees, still remain on a portion of the site.

Victory Greens’ move is the latest Treasure Valley nursery to find a new spot with development taking over its former location. Franz Witte moved from its site along State St. in NW Boise to a new location in Nampa in 2020, and now developers plan multi-family housing on the site.
