Boise business interiors company merges with Spokane firm, will take on new name

Boise-based Business Interiors of Idaho purchased Spokane-based Freeform Workplace Interiors and says the newly combined company will allow for enhanced services.

BII launched in 1985 with an initial focus on business furniture. The company’s services grew to include space planning, interior design, and other services to outfit the interior of offices and other business spaces.

The combined company will take on the Freeform name and remain based in Boise, with operations in both cities. BII previously opened a showroom in Spokane to serve clients in the region.

Freeform president Fernando Jauretche will join the combined firm as principal and market president. BII CEO Jeff Heath said he’s excited about the company’s combined future.

“I feel that Spokane and Boise share a spirit that manifests in the attitude, work ethic, and commitment to the community of both its business and people,” Heath said. “Because of the similarities and the challenges our communities share, we feel we can bring great ideas, additional value, and a fresh take in a rapidly growing market. We are deeply appreciative and optimistic to have Fernando and his team representing us in Eastern Washington and North Idaho and are excited for our future to come.”

Heath said the combined company will employ 50 people. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
