Planned subdivision would bring hundreds of homes & townhomes to Meridian


More than 200 single-family housing sites and over 100 townhomes could pop up in Meridian, according to an application submitted to the city.

Brighton Corp. is looking to build Quartet South that would bring 229 single-family lots and 140 townhome units to the east side of Black Cat Rd between McMillian and Ustick Roads.

A site map shows the lots ranging from over 4,000 square feet to over 6,000 square feet.

Quartet South is part of the larger Quartet Subdivision located in the same area. 

The new addition to the subdivision would sit on almost 70 acres of land with several amenities. Quartet South would feature a community pool with changing rooms, a clubhouse, a children’s play area, and over 10 acres of open space.

The pool, clubhouse, and play structure are all set up around the same area of the subdivision.

The application notes that there is a space that is considered future residential and is subject to various meetings before it will be proposed. 

Brighton will be in front of the planning and zoning commission on February 3, requesting annexation, zoning, and preliminary plat approval.
