Three-time Olympic Gold Medalist Kristin Armstrong is expanding services at her Boise and Meridian gyms to include primary care.

Armstrong took to LinkedIn to announce the launch of two PIVOT Medical Clinics, which will be housed in the same buildings as the PIVOT fitness centers at 808 S Vanguard Way in Meridian and ‍1290 W Myrtle St in Boise.

Armstrong and partner BVA Development announced a total of four gyms. Two have opened so far. The building for a third, in Boise’s Barber Valley, is listed for lease.

Variety of services

PIVOT Medical Clinics will provide primary care services such as annual preventative screenings, women’s and men’s health and hormones, acute and chronic illness treatment and management, and common procedures. In addition to primary care, clinics will also offer mental health care, physical therapy for pain and injury management, and nutrition services. Armstrong wrote in her post, it’s “all designed to help you live your fullest, healthiest life.”

“PIVOT Medical Clinic is here to be your partner in your health journey, no matter what your goals are or what phase of life you’re in,” Armstrong wrote. “Our team takes a lifestyle approach and looks at the whole picture of your health to solve and prevent medical issues.”

According to PIVOT’s website, Armstrong’s career in health and wellness started before she became the most decorated female cyclist in U.S. History. The Olympian worked for St. Luke’s Health System, which is where Armstrong says she realized that change is needed in the industry to keep healthy people healthy and to better leverage lifestyle factors to prevent and manage illness and disease.

“In partnership with PIVOT Medical Clinic, Kristin is on a mission to create this change with patients, providers, and payers across the Treasure Valley and beyond,” PIVOT’s website states.
