‘Gourmet’ sandwich and wine shop opens next to Cherie Buckner-Webb Park

An upscale eatery featuring seasonally inspired sandwiches, charcuterie, and wine just opened by Cherie Buckner-Webb Park.

Parkside Market is housed on the first floor of the 11th & Idaho building, right next to Broadcast Coffee. The menu lists hot and cold sandwiches including the GodFather Trio, Beef Dip, Veggie Humus Wrap, and Tasty Turkey, which owner Zachary McAllister says has been the most popular.

There are also several salads and a soup of the day. The menu says that grab-and-go charcuterie cups are coming soon.

Parkside serves a variety of wines by the glass. When the weather gets warmer, McAllister plans to offer a picnic basket special, which would include several sandwiches and a bottle of wine that customers can enjoy in the park. The cafe has plenty of indoor seating as well.

McAllister is planning a two-day grand opening on Friday, March 18, and Saturday, March 19. There will be live music on the patio Friday followed by yoga and a mimosa pancake breakfast in the park on Saturday.

Parkside Market is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
