Garden Valley Motel up for sale: ‘unusual opportunity’

Maybe you’ve seen Motel Makeover on Netflix or Inn The Works on Discovery+ and thought “I could buy a motel and fix it up”.

Someone might get the chance with the Garden Valley Motel, north of Boise. The motel, built in 1997, is for sale, along with surrounding property.

The twelve-room motel sits on the Banks Lowman Rd., on the main strip in Garden Valley. It has a rustic log cabin-styled exterior with rooms on two levels and a large deck. The property includes two suites, six rooms with kitchens, and four standard rooms with double queen beds.

Here’s how the owners pitch the property in marketing materials: “Built in 1997, and located conveniently along the Banks-Lowman Highway, this is an unusual opportunity to choose an upscale healthy lifestyle and seize a robust opportunity for growth and profit in one of the fastest-growing counties, in the fastest-growing state in the country.”

The motel and the land it sits on are listed for $1.3 million, though an additional 1.5-acre property adjacent to the motel can be added on for another $200,000. The property’s listing on Bizbuysell says the motel had gross revenue of $170,000.
