New outdoor clothing store with bar to open in Indian Creek Plaza

A place to drink beer and shop for gear is coming to Indian Creek Plaza.

Mesquite Creek Outfitters leased a 6,417 square foot space at 712 Main Street in Caldwell.

Part owner and manager Brad Bowden says MCO is a unique concept, as its part bar, part retail store. On the retail side, customers can shop a wide range of upscale outdoor clothing, gear and “hard to find unique items.”

“It’s going to range from shoes, to shirts, to dresses, jackets, and things like that,” Bowden said.

As for the alcohol, MCO will also feature a beer and wine taproom.

“We’re going to be sourcing almost exclusively locally brewed beers and from the different wineries around the area,” Bowden said. “It’s just going to be a place where people can come and hang out.

The Idaho location will be MCO’s third. There are two stores in Texas. As for why Caldwell, Bowden says the city checked all the boxes.

“The amount of traffic that goes through there and all the events at Indian Creek Plaza, it’s an exciting place for us to be,” Bowden said. “We’re just excited to be in Caldwell and part of the community.”

Mesquite Creek Outfitters plans to open in mid to late summer of this year.
