Huge Donnelly development to be discussed at community meeting

In a community meeting Thursday evening, a developer will unveil his plans for a massive development in Donnelly.

Craig Groves wants to build Mountain Meadows Ranch west of Idaho 55 around the areas of Everett Lane and Wallace Lane.

Groves told BoiseDev that the development was “evolving” up to 270 acres.

Mountain Meadows would be a mix of multi and single-family homes with a retail store anchoring the development. There would be a 70-unit luxury RV park, 216 apartments, about 60 garage- under two-story townhomes, and between 200 and 250 single-family homesites.

Amenities would include outdoor pickleball, tennis courts, a lifestyle clubhouse, and “maybe” a golf simulator room.

The project would be phased out and Groves said the team is looking at it from a 20-year perspective.

“ Some of that product type that I’m talking about is needed right now today that it will still take us a year or more to bring that product to the market,” he said.

The project is in its early stages, and many things could still change, Groves said

A general information meeting is being held on Thursday at 6 p.m. at Donnelly Elementary School.

Groves said the team has not shared the plan with the city yet.

“(We want to) make sure that we’re incorporating what the general community would like to see before we submit a formal application to the city,” he said.
