Workout in a sauna? New hot exercise studio opens in Boise

Hot yoga studios have been open in the Treasure Valley for a while. Now, a new hot workout studio is open where not only can you do hot yoga – but also other types of exercise.

HOTWORX, which is opening off Federal Way, is an infrared fitness studio that features virtually instructed workouts, including hot pilates, hot row, hot cycle, or High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) sessions.

According to the owners, Kirsten and Jeff Keen, benefits of working out in an infrared studio include stress reduction, weight loss, increased calorie burn, detoxification, and lowered blood pressure – to name a few.

“We wanted to introduce the Treasure Valley to the hottest fitness concept today – The health and recovery benefits of infrared are limitless,” owner Kirsten Keen said. “As infrared heat penetrates your body causing you to sweat, the isometric postures further accelerate detoxification by physically removing the toxins from your organs through muscle contraction.”

The studio is slated to open later this spring and will be open to members 24 hours a day – 7 days a week.

There is another HOTWORX studio with different franchise owners in Meridian off of Fairview Ave.
