Eagle urban renewal agency wants “creative” ideas to revamp downtown properties

The Eagle Urban Renewal Agency Board Of Commissioners voted to approve a release of the Request for Proposal for two agency-owned properties.

One of the properties is the former Eagle Museum of History at 67 E. State St. and the other is the Eagle Barbershop, located at 51 E. State St.

EURA is asking for developers to present a proposal, design, and idea for the purchase and redevelopment of the properties. The agency notes that it’s specifically looking for “creative” proposals that “enhance the character” of the downtown area.

Proposals are due to EURA by 4 p.m. on July 8, 2022. The news release said it expected that the RFP Committee will interview developers and review proposals in August and make a recommendation to the EURA board this September.
