Long time Boise real estate firm Group One Sotheby’s has been acquired. Majestic Realty LLC purchased the firm, bringing its total number of Sotheby’s-branded firms to seven.

Brad Barker founded Group One Realty in October of 1982 according to Secretary of State records. In 2016, Group One joined the Sotheby’s International franchise operation and changed its name to Group One Sotheby’s International Realty while maintaining local ownership under Barker and KaLinn Dishion.

Now, the company will roll up under Majestic Realty of Colorado. Majestic owns firms in Ketchum, Idaho, Las Vegas, Nevada, Denver, Colorado, Palm Springs, California, Lake Tahoe, Nevada, and Park City, Utah.

With the transaction, Barker will retire. Dishion will continue as president and managing broker of the firm under new ownership. The firm will keep the Group One Sotheby’s name.

“Our new partnership is truly an extension and continuation of Brad’s inspiring legacy and our commitment to our community,” Dishion said. “It is an exciting day for Brad, for Group One, and for our incredible team of agents and support staff.”
