A restaurant nestled in southeast Boise will serve its final meals this weekend.
After 12 years, Locavore in Bown Crossing is closing.
Co-owner and chef Christine Reid explained why the bistro was shutting down in an Instagram post.
“Unfortunately, our lease renewal is up and the market has doubled, food costs are outrageous, food shortages are exhausting,” the post reads.
Reid went on to thank customers and staff for their support through the years.
“My staff has stayed with me through all of the pandemic craziness and we would not be here without them! We love them more than anything and will miss seeing and being part of their lives every day. .. But, all great things must come to an end…and this is ours.”
Locavore’s last day in business will be Sunday, May 22. A sign on the door touts brunch service this weekend.
