Meridian pizza place closes for good

After about four years of serving up pies, a pizza joint in Meridian is no more.

Marco’s Pizza at the intersection of Ten Mile and McMillan roads is closed.

The restaurant had been temporarily closed for the past several weeks but a sign recently posted to the front door lets customers know the closure is permanent.

“Thank you for all the support and business throughout the years, we are very lucky to have been part of this community,” the sign reads in part.

It’s unclear why Marco’s closed. The sign doesn’t elaborate and the store phone doesn’t accept voicemails. The pizza chain joins a growing list of other restaurants in the Treasure Valley that have recently closed.

Marco’s Pizza was founded in Ohio and has more than 1,000 restaurants across 34 states. The Meridian location was the only Marco’s in Idaho.
