A developer hopes to build small warehouse spaces for lease near Boise Towne Square, on the site of a large lot with a home that dates to 1900.
Kal Pacific applied to the City of Boise with a proposal for Maple Grove Outlets, a multi-tenant warehouse located on the northeast corner of Franklin and Maple Grove at 8924 W. Franklin Rd. The project is designed for four tenants, with each tenant having its own warehouse space.
“The architectural drawings illustrate a quality and attractive warehouse building that incorporates color, textural elements, and glass into the façade,” Jay Gibbons with South Beck and Baird Landscape said in the letter of intent. “We believe the future industrial development will provide attractive business opportunities in the area and… compliment the commercial and industrial uses in the vicinity.”
The property sits lower than the nearby streets, and developers will build retaining walls on the property to transition from the lower area to the streets.
A current home on the 4.6-acre site would be demolished to make way for the project. The home dates to 1900, according to Ada County Assessor records.
Maple Grove Outlets will go before the Boise Design Review Committee for approval. A public hearing is set for June 8th at 6pm at Boise City Hall.
