Last year, BoiseDev told you about Sockeye Brewing’s plans to open a 12,000 square foot brewery at the old garden center on 36th street in Boise’s North End near the foothills.

Today, we now know more about when it’ll be open and what visitors can expect.

Sockeye Alehouse will have a restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining areas, a golf-themed bar and a year-round, 9-hole indoor putting course.

“We’ve worked with the award-winning design company, PuttTek, to design and engineer a 9-hole, indoor putting course that will wow our customers,” Sockeye’s Director of Marketing said Tyson Cardon said. “It’s definitely not your average ‘putt-putt’ or mini golf course. The greens are engineered in a way that keeps the true golfer in mind while remaining fun and family-friendly.”

Cardon said construction on the facility is underway and that they expect to open in November.

Sockeye Brewing celebrated its 25th anniversary this year and has another brewery Fairview and Cloverdale. Sockeye closed its Cole and Ustick location in 2019.
