After opening back in 2018 at a warehouse in Nampa, The Idaho Reptile Zoo moved in February 2021 to its current location on Overland Rd.

Since the move to the 10,000 sq. ft. facility, the Idaho Reptile Zoo has continued to expand, making room for more exhibits and guest interactions.

Idaho Reptile Zoo is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public through interaction. The organization is home to more than 200 animals and provides permanent homes to rescue and rehabilitated animals.

“We work closely with the Department of Agriculture and Idaho Fish and Game to make sure no animal gets looked past,” Idaho Reptile Zoo wrote on their website, “This allows us to be a permanent home to invasive as well as illegal species here in Idaho and educate the public on these animals as well.”

The Idaho Reptile Zoo opened back in 2019 but has been operating for more than 10 years in the Treasure Valley as Reptile Adventures. Tyler Messina, the founder and owner, works alongside his daughter Eleni and a team of volunteers to keep the facility running. The Zoo runs on community donations and support.

Idaho Reptile Zoo is located at 10531 W. Overland Rd. The facility is open 7 days a week to the public.
