If you’ve recently shopped at Trader Joe’s in Meridian, you may have noticed a dirt pile sitting next to the grocery store.
Last year BoiseDev reported on a few hundred apartment units planned to pop up near the Village at Meridian.
KM Engineerings project at 2600 N Eagle, which is next to Trader Joe’s, consists of six buildings with a total of 336 apartment units. The plan lists 200 one-bedroom, 120 two-bedroom, and 16 three-bedroom units.
The Village Apartments have a variety of planned amenities, including a clubhouse with a fitness center, a bike repair station, a swimming pool, a hot tub, and a dog park.
The developer plans to provide 604 parking spaces, 336 of those spaces will be covered.
“The configuration and orientation of the proposed development will not only create easily accessible open space and amenities. But will also support the creation of a community in an area close to existing and proposed commercial and employment opportunities,” the application letter said. “The Village Apartments will complement surrounding residential and commercial uses, is consistent with the City’s goals for this area, and provides additional housing opportunities for this central area of Meridian.”
