Mix of townhomes and single-family homes planned south of Lake Hazel

A mix of townhomes and single-family homes could pop up just south of Lake Hazel Road and east of Locust Grove Road in Meridian. 

The Hadler neighborhood would consist of 145 single-family homes made up of 93 townhomes and 52 single-family homes. 

“Hadler will provide much-needed housing options for future residents,” the application letter said. “Additional rooftops in this quickly developing area of Meridian will help support the future commercial and retail uses along Eagle Road, Lake Hazel, and Meridian Road (HWY 69) and the newly approved Pinnacle Neighborhood Center.”

The single-family homes would come in three variations- all two stories. There would be 1,640 square foot homes, 1,780 square foot homes, and 1,820 square feet homes. The townhomes would come in two one-story styles. One would sit at 1,342 square feet, the other at 1,353 square feet.

The Boise-based development Conger Group plans to include several amenities such as a play structure, benches, pathways, and a picnic shelter.

“Pathways and sidewalks within the development will encourage walkability through the community as well as along regional pathways that connect to the neighborhood on the North and West sides,” the application said. “Parks and amenities will be distributed throughout the development, generously landscaped boulevards and endcaps will welcome residents’ homes and create a sense of place and feeling of community.”

The applicant is looking for preliminary plat and annexation and zoning approval from the City of Meridian.
