You asked: What’s going into the Great Wall restaurant in Meridian?

Construction crews are tearing down the Great Wall Restaurant in Meridian, which has been closed for some time.

A sign popped up outside the constriction zone at 2590 N Eagle Rd. advertising a new business called Copper Canary.

According to its website, Copper Canary is a vintage and estate jewelry store with pieces dating back to the 1800s. They have an online store, and another location in Carlsbad, California. People can also sell their jewelry to Copper Canary.

A post on the company’s Facebook page says it will be a while before the store opens.

“Our marquee sign went up this week,” the post reads. “We’re still months out from opening but this makes it feel a bit more real. Truly a dream come true to have our own free-standing store.”

The Great Wall Restaurant off of Overland Rd. in Boise is still open.
