Meridian, your TopGolf is about to open.
The combo driving range, bar, and restaurant is nearing the end of construction, and managers tell BoiseDev it will be open soon. But, the exact date isn’t nailed down just yet.
They are targeting Thanksgiving week, but the exact opening date is a “moving target” due to construction. TopGolf in Meridian has started booking private parties starting Monday, December 5th. An exact opening date will be announced soon.
The Boise-area location will feature 60 private bays for groups to play. The two-story Meridian TopGolf building will include 33,000 square feet of space while the driving field will extend a depth of 205 yards.
Each bay includes televisions, food and drink service, and the ability to play TopGolf’s custom games, which mix technology and a series of targets set into the driving range. The venue is part of the Eagle View Landing complex along I-84 near Eagle Rd.
TopGolf promised it would put down blue turf for the range if a social media threshold was reached – but if you’ve driven by, you’ve likely noticed the turf is green. When the entertainment venue announced it was coming to Boise, social media managers said, either falsely or tongue-in-cheek, that if the video got 50,000 likes, they’d put down blue turf. That video zoomed to more than 100,000 likes, but, alas, the Boise State Smurf Turf won’t be joined by a Meridian Smurf Turf.
TopGolf would have needed a license from Boise State, which owns a trademark on blue athletic fields.
