Dutch Bros. to sprout another with 7th Meridian location

Date:

Another Dutch Bros is planned for Meridian.

The chain applied to open its seventh Meridian location at 3085 Ustick Road.

The project would be a 1,154-square-foot Dutch Bros Coffee with a dual drive-through that holds up to 26 cars. There would be a customer walk-up window and patio space on the east side of the drive-through window. Parking to the south would include 14 spaces for the coffee stand.

The application said the building will be painted with “simple bold colors”- similar to other location designs.

“Vertical and horizontal facade breaks, building massing, and modulation have been incorporated into the design of the building,” the application letter said. “Canopy awnings are provided over all entrances and service doors, including a large 300-square-foot canopy over the customer walk-up service window providing weather protection. The building features modulation with a tower element, building all articulation, and building materials that are aesthetic and compatible with other newer developments in the community. Colorful and visually interesting wall signs depicting the Dutch Bros Coffee logos will be installed on all sides of the building.”

Dutch Bros serves a variety of drinks and snacks, including White Coffee, Dutch Bros Blue Rebel energy drinks, granola bars, and Private Reserve Coffee.

The Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission will hear from the applicant, Barghausen Consulting Engineers, on December 15.

“Dutch Bros Coffee is a successful business that will promote improvement of the existing commercial area. Dutch Bros Coffee locations are known to be clean and well maintained, providing quick service from friendly staff,” the application letter said. “The proposed coffee shop will provide excellent products and service, along with enhanced landscaping areas, lighting, and pedestrian open space at the project site that will benefit all customers and users in the immediate vicinity and the surrounding areas.”
