People can longer sing their hearts out at a downtown Boise karaoke spot.
Voicebox Karaoke on 781 W Front Street permanently closed on Saturday, October 29. A post on Voicebox’s social media says the closure is “due to circumstances beyond our control.”
“Your love and support has been astounding, and we’ve loved having each and every one of you as our guests,” the post goes on to say.
Voicebox first opened in December 2019 and featured a lounge and private karaoke suits where customers could choose from a catalog of over 71,000 songs. It closed during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in Idaho, and later reopened.
In addition to tunes, Voicebox also had personalized food and drink service. The business faced the busy Front St. extension to the Interstate 184 freeway. It’s also next to the newly-opened Warehouse Food Hall. When Voicebox opened, owners told BoiseDev it would employ 20 people.
Voicebox has other locations in other cities, including two in Portland, Oregon.
