Affordable steak chain closes in Nampa

A steak chain is closing its Nampa location after 45 years in business.

Sizzler, at 501 Caldwell Blvd., is now permanently closed. The restaurant that prides itself on affordable steaks served its last meals sometime earlier this month. A sign now hangs on the door thanking customers for their support since it opened in 1977. It also says “economic conditions” led to the closure.

Sizzler’s Boise location on Cole Rd. near the mall closed in 2019 after 30 years in business.

The Sizzler in Meridian is still open, along with other locations in Twin Falls and Eastern Idaho.

There are more than 70 other Sizzler locations across the Western United States.
