Investigations at the Boise Police Department

In recent weeks, as BoiseDev and other news outlets have investigated a series of complaints, countercomplaints, and other issues within the Boise Police Department and the City of Boise, it’s become apparent that many of the individuals and organizations involved overlap.
To help sort it out, we sketched out a visualization on a whiteboard to help keep it all straight. We then thought it might help our readers to better understand the links with a digital version of the graphic.
This lays out the connections between four current and former employees of the Boise Police Department, including former Chief Ryan Lee, former Captain Matt Bryngelson, Former Captain Tom Fleming, and Sgt. Kirk Rush.
It also shows links between some of the individuals and an outside law firm, the paths they took to file complaints, and a variety of other actions.
