Several BoiseDev readers have asked about construction activity inside the older Roseaurs store along Eagle Rd. in Meridian. The Spokane-based grocery store closed its lone Treasure Valley location in 2017, and Trader Joe’s moved into a portion of the store in 2019.
Now, another store will take up the remaining space.
PGA Tour Superstore is set to take the 42,212 square foot space left over by the split of Roseaurs for Trader Joe’s. The large golf-focused retailer features clubs, shoes, apparel, accesories and more. It currently operates about 60 locations across the country.
PGA Tour Superstore is owned the AMB Group, which also owns the Atlanta Falcons, Mercedes-Benz Stadium and a variety of other businesses. AMB licenses the PGA Tour name for the chain.
Along with the golf store, the Gateway Marketplace shopping center is set to add a Chicago Fire Pizza location, which describes itself as a “pizzeria meets steakhouse” concept. The Chicago Fire restaurant will open in a pad site location in the parking lot near Trader Joe’s.
It will include a patio space, featuring a menu with a variety of pizzas and Italian-style appeetizer. The concept also includes a full bar.
