Boise pottery studio reopens this weekend with new owners

A long-time Boise pottery studio is reopening this weekend after closing last year.

Ceramica, which is located in the Vista Village, is welcoming back customers this Saturday with a grand reopening party.

Last November, the business announced it was permanently closing. However, new owners took over in December and are firing back up the kilns.

“We are ecstatic to announce that we have entered into a contract for the sale of Ceramica and the buyers couldn’t be better qualified to take Ceramica to the next level!” Ceramica posted to Facebook.

The reopening party is from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Saturday with pottery painting, clay building, and paint and fire Raku pottery. There will also be local artists on site demonstrating their skills.

The paint-your-own pottery business first opened in 1998 in Downtown Boise. It later moved to Vista Village and has long been behind the Empty Bowls fundraiser for the Idaho Food Bank.
