A closed-down ice cream shop on State St. in Boise is being replaced by a local parlor.
Stella’s Ice Cream is taking over the space where Baskin Robbins once was in the Collister Shopping Center, according to Intermountain Commerical Real Estate.
Stella’s serves up homemade ice cream in various classic flavors, such as Cake Batter and Rock Road, along with a handful of seasonal flavors, including Gingerbread and Cookies for Santa. Stella’s also has party packs like the Ice Cream Sandwich Cookie Kit and Waffle Taco Party Pack.
Nampa’s Chad Hartley opened his first location in Downtown Nampa on Third St. in 2018. According to the Idaho Press, Stella’s shares its name with the Hartley’s dog. The Idaho Press said Chad and his wife fell in love with Italian-style gelato shops on a trip overseas.
The Collister location will be Stella’s fifth Treasure valley location and second Boise store. It’s unclear when this newest shop will open.
