A restaurant, women’s clothing & home goods retailer and well-known clothing retailer are set to open in the Village at Meridian in coming months.

  • Texas de Brazil, which calls itself a Churrascaria Brazilian Steakhouse will go into a long-vacant restaurant space in the Village core near The Counter and Z Gallerie. The steakhouse chain has eateries around the world – including Mexico, the Middle East and East Asia, as well as about 50 locations in the US.  This will be the first in the Pacific Northwest. The menu includes a variety of meats, salads, desserts and a full bar. The concept is similar to Tucano’s, with servers (called gauchos) bringing meats on a skewer to the table, plus an open salad bar area. The restaurant is set for an early 2019 opening.
  • Columbia Sportswear will open its first Idaho store in a pad site in the Village at Meridian parking lot near Cafe Zupas.  The store will feature a full line of Columbia outdoor wear and coats.  It is set to open this fall.
  • Soft Surroundings is a “women’s clothing and accessories, beauty and home decor store,” according to a Village at Meridian news release – and will open next to LOFT this fall.

The new openings will put occupancy at Village at Meridian near 95% on the retail side. An expansion which includes additional retail and another movie theater is on the drawing board.
